How Aurora Forecast USA handles sources, claims, updates, and corrections.
Source-first information
We identify public source products from NOAA SWPC and GFZ when describing geomagnetic conditions. Weather, astronomy, and source products may update on different schedules. A site refresh does not mean a source has issued a new observation or forecast.
Limits on forecasts
Aurora forecasting is uncertain. We avoid unsupported accuracy rates, visibility-frequency promises, and claims that a visitor will see aurora. Local clouds, light pollution, horizon, darkness, and changing space weather affect every viewing attempt.
Corrections
Send corrections to support@auroraforecast.me with the relevant URL and evidence. We review reports, correct material errors, and add clarification when a claim needs context.

The AuroraMe Team maintains this site and methodology. Content may be revised as source products, coverage, or implementation changes. Read the current methodology, about page, and US visibility data.
